Hello and welcome to go-paperless.net! I’m glad you found your way to my site. My name is Jan Schaller and I would like to share my knowledge and experience about going paperless and make it accessible to as many people as possible.
I am a major in political science, so obviously I had a lot to do with researching, reading, understanding and writing shorter and longer texts. At the beginning of my studies, I went to the copy store at the start of the semester and bought all the seminar texts for the upcoming semester as a reader. What a waste of paper!
Since I have been involved with IT, computers and technology in general for a long time, it was obvious to find ways to digitize my studies. Years of trial and error followed: Tablets or convertables weren’t really good enough yet, but I tried to work with them. I also tried out various setups at my desk at home. In addition, there were hundreds of apps and programs. Things really clicked when my trusty Mac Mini found its way into my home. From then on, the path to paperless studying was paved. In the time since then, I’ve moved on to its big brother, the iMac. On the road I recently made the switch to the new M1 MacBooks and purchased a MacBook Air. Additionaly, there is an iPad Pro 12.9 from 2018 in my set-up. Nevertheless, I do not only write about Apple products here, but I usually try to create added value for everyone.
If you want to write me, be it for feedback, questions or a possible collaboration, feel free to do so at this mail address: [email protected]. I am also on Mastodon!
